Learning How To Learn
Learning How To Teach

Kiddos. Some basic-basics about the structure of our government are not sinking in. Mrs. T and I are concerned, since we've taught this subject in many different ways - provided specific (online) study guides, made maps, conducted lectures and Q. and A. sessions.

Here's the deal:

You won't pass this class at the end of the semester until you get this stuff right, and show that you truly understand the idea and have not simply memorized numbers.

In Mrs. K's 6th and 7th period classes we talked about other ways of teaching and learning this material and it was a great discussion! They asked for -

-More, shorter quizzes with less material to learn
-Study guides on paper
-Power points for appropriate assignments
-To brainstorm ideas about how to use physical models - things that can be touched and moved around - for those who learn best that way.

Whether or not all those ideas will be implemented hasn't been decided. But the more we know, the better.

Your ideas are invited! Please use the comment section to write suggestions.
